Have just returned from the Israel and End Time Prophecies seminar held at Felicia's church - RiverLife. Heard some pretty amazing things from a Jew, an Arab and a Japanese-American Israeli and learnt about how God is working in the lives of the Arabs, the Jews and the gentiles in Israel.
The leader of the team, Peter Tsukahira, wrote a book entitled God's Tsunami and talked about how God's plan is unfolding with the restoration of Israel and the return of the Jews to Israel and through the spread of the gospel westwards from Jerusalem (Acts 16), to Europe, North America, Asia and eventually back to Jerusalem. When the gospel returns to Jerusalem, Jesus' second coming is near.
The amazing thing is that God has also spoken to the Chinese about the spread of the gospel westwards to Jerusalem too. There is a website about the efforts of the Chinese: http://www.backtojerusalem.com/ .
I'm encouraged to stand with our brothers and sisters as watchmen (Isa 62:6-7) and pray for Jerusalem.
After being inspired by the seminar, I also visited the Mount Carmel School of Ministry website http://www.mountcarmelsom.com/. The team who shared came from there and they have a two-week retreat: http://www.mountcarmelsom.com/moreaboutsom.htm. It's like a tour to the Bible land with a difference. Think about it - learning about God and His Word from the Israelis, people who live near the places we read about in the Bible.... I think I would like to attend a retreat like this some day.....
