Mum's 60th Birthday Celebration

We celebrated mum's 6oth birthday at Crystal Jade Tampines on wtih family and friends.

Grandma's 4th death anniversary

Time flies - 16 Feb marks Grandma's 4th death annniversary.

We went to put flowers (which mum made) for both grandma and greatgrandma and went for family lunch together at Hougang Mall.

And we did the usual stuff - visiting and here's a picture of my family with my granduncle.

Our very first outing for 2008 was Pete's daughter's wedding and Pete did a solo for her - A whiter shade of pale.

Seeds of Hope is the orphanage next to PKH.

Check out the children's dorm.

The compound is huge and it has a pig sty and vegetable farm.

Since PKH trains students for the hotel industry, I was privileged to visit hotels with Beng Geok and Susan.

Had a taste of genuine Khmer food @ PKH...

Look at the small fish - fried or cooked in gravy...



Bamboo stem and fish soup... full of fibre... :)



And the cook, Aunty Narit, cooking cauliflower with meat for about 20 of us...
