Asher's baptism

Asher was baptised today and the family promised to bring him up in the ways of the Lord.
The name "Asher" comes from the Bible and it means happy.
He is so aptly named - he smiles most of the time and he is so adorable with his distinctive hairdo.

And on today, his baptism day, he gave me a muack on the cheek! :)

We celebrated his birthday at Changi Rise on 1 Nov and he had a 3D Thomas birthday cake!

And we celebrated his actual birthday again at Swensens with the Firehouse Happy Birthday sundae. And we got two sundaes cos it's Vilma's birthday as well!

Always the winner in our hearts

Asher took part in the inaugural baby contest today at Tampines North CC. Phoebe wanted him to win a trophy and he did, much to her delight - a consolation prize for the Healthy Baby competition in his Category - 3 to 6 months.


He also took part in the photogenic baby contest and the father and child chemistry contest. Here are a couple of shots of the father and child chemistry contest on stage. Asher made it to the final 5 but did not respond to papa. Was more distracted by cheh-cheh. :P

And they were on TV too - part of the local news!

Asher's first month party

Asher turned 20 days old today and we had his first month party at the function room.

We celebrated his arrival early because Grandpa and Grandma were going to be away.

The occasion was a ray of sunlight during my medical leave.

Arrival of Asher - my nephew

Asher arrived on 5 Nov around 3.10am. He's 50cm long and 3490g heavy.

We went with Phoebe to visit him around 10am that morning. See the doting chey chey...

(and yi-yi had such a tough time putting Phoebe to bed while daddy and mommy were at the hospital since they left about midnight ...)

Hehe! See the 3 generations of womenfolk resting on the hospital bed while waiting for Asher to be wheeled in.... :P
